A collection of mini-games for the Playdate

Rachel's PlayDate Game Pack is a free arcade game pack created by an indie developer Moosadee. It is a collection of mini-games specifically made for the Playdate retro gaming handheld. It offers all kinds of gameplay from different genres to choose from.

Similar to WarioWare or LUL inc., Rachel's PlayDate Game Pack does a casual one-size-fits-all kind of approach to gaming. It features mini-games that cater to different player preferences and likes. Players can expect a mix of arcade titles, platformers, puzzlers, and many others to choose from.

Mini-games galore

The Playdate retro gaming handheld, with its unique design and hardware, has been received well by the community. The reason for this is the great support from its developer, which has been consistent with updates. Indie developers chime in with their own creations, adding to its ever-growing list of games. Rachel's PlayDate Game Pack is yet another addition that offers a collection of titles to choose from.

What makes the game pack interesting is that unlike other standalone releases, it offers a collection of mini-games to play around with. As of this writing, there are five titles to choose from, and they are Toilet Paper Cat, Bass Ball, I Hate Skeletons, We Have Lasers, and High 5 King. Gameplay will vary from casual arcade fare to top-down shooting, and everything else in between.

What's more, there are many more titles on the way. There are a total of eight additional games being planned for this pack, with two of them already in development. While the experience lasts no more than a couple of minutes for each of its current games, you can expect a lot more to arrive in future updates. Hopefully, they arrive sooner rather than later.

An okay selection, for now

If you're looking for something to play on Playdate to help pass the time, Rachel's PlayDate Game Pack is a decent collection of mini-games to consider. They're great for casual short play sessions, but nothing beyond that. It does only have five games to choose from currently, but there will be a lot more coming soon. Give this one a try.
